Video of the Week

(A bit late this week.) I love Southwest Airlines.

Texas is going to elect their governor this year. (I’m not going to bother mentioning who the Democrat candidates are – this is Texas after all.) Here are the choices in the Republican primary: Rick Perry (the incumbent) and Kay Bailey Hutchison (TX Senator).

Here’s the dilemma: Dick Cheney has endorsed KBH. Sarah Palin has endorsed Perry. What to do? Who should I vote for?! Oh, wait. I’m not a registered Republican. Never mind. (Whew.)

What’s Playing: Tegan and Sara
Currently Reading: All Too Human, George Stephanopoulos

Dislikes: carpentry work (I won’t elaborate), feeling hungry all the time

Jennifer Aniston Has the Best Publicist

If I ever needed a publicist I would hire Jennifer Aniston’s publicist. I haven’t done an exact count, but it seems like there is a Jennifer Aniston story, report, sighting, etc. every two days. “Jennifer Aniston is vacationing in <name of Caribbean island goes here>”, “Jennifer Aniston went to Starbucks” (and here is the photo for you to see what she was wearing, how her hair looked and what size drink she got) because it’s so damn interesting to you, isn’t it?! (Isn’t it though?)

She has no movie coming out*, no appearance on < name of talk show goes here>** but “here she is shopping in Santa Monica!” and “here’s the photo/video footage of her in a parking lot in Santa Monica.”

Jennifer Aniston, please go away. All I’m asking for is one week. One week that’s Jennifer Aniston free. Let someone else get a mention on Access Hollywood or Entertainment Tonight. Let someone else get a two page spread in People or US Weekly. How about one of those chicks on Grey’s Anatomy? Don’t be so selfish, JA’s publicist. That’s all.

*I just saw a preview for a movie that stars, guess who? Jennifer Aniston! (It looks awful, by the way.)
**Since Jennifer Aniston has a moving coming out fairly soon, guess who will be on several talk shows to promote it? <sigh>

Video of the Week

Last night I heard my Mama singin’ a song…

I Passed!

I have to get my car titled in Texas and can’t put it off any longer – too bad since it’s going to cost me about $200! My car is old. My car is American. Things have stopped working on my car. I started a list of what’s broken/isn’t working anymore, but I didn’t finish it. I got all bummed out about it.

On Monday, I took my car to get the state inspection that’s required and I was nervous. What if they find something wrong with it? It will have to be fixed before I pass inspection and that’ll cost me even more money!

Well, the good news is that my car passed! I have a love/hate relationship with my car, but the bottom line is this: It gets me where I need to go and the A/C works so as long as that’s the case, I’ll be fine.
